ILSAC GF-5 is divided by the spheres: for passenger cars, trucks and SUVs and meets many American, Japanese, and Korean OEMs’ requirements. It meets and exceeds API SN requirements. The viscosity depends on the temperature and engine manufacturer. For most autos (1993 and later), API licensed (with the specifications of ILSAC GF-5, ILSAC GF-4, ILSAC GF-3 or GF-2), recommended by manufacturers.
